Resource Fix: A waterless dishwasher for small spaces

by dMASS Staff on February 12, 2013

The DualWash Bipartite Dishwasher is a new concept from a team of design students for a space-saving dishwasher that washes dishes with CO2 instead water and soap. No water means no plumbing, which means less mass dedicated to infrastructure. It also means the dishwashing unit can be mounted on a wall like a cabinet. Indeed, the DualWash is intended to work as dish storage as well as a washer.

With a growing need for small-space designs to serve an expanding urban population, the DualWash seems like a solution with potential. What other space- and resource-saving solutions have you seen?
